I’ve been a Shipfitter for 6 years and love it. Definitely has its ups and downs, but I’ve been doing it since I was 20, now 26. Definitely a hard, but rewarding job. I always come back to this video cause it’s always nice to have a little refresher. 👨🏻‍🏭

i always piss away the start of my day by milking time setting up and talking to everyone along the way while i have my coffee then i start working about 2 hours before break lol... they wanna pay me $34 an hour to waste time i'm all for it! i think the real reason behind this is because most ppl can learn to mig quick!! Stick has more of a learning curve! They just made the shipyard i work switch us fitters to mig so i had to take a mig test, i was able to practice the test a couple hours and pass it. my boss compared mig to using a hot glue gun lol. stick took me weeks to learn!!

Years ago, I interviewed for their Senior Strucutral Engineer position in Seattle. I could tell they were the proverbial dumpster fire. Their work spaces will small, only enought for the laptop to fit. They wanted me to provide them typical details for light gage steel buildings despite not doing them. They were obsessed with the number of nails in a shear wall. After experiencing that, I knew they were badly managed.

People have acted pretty weird since the bars have started to deteriorate. I believe that it’s demonic energy that was being kept inside by the bars. You kinda have to remember that a lot of the Bible has stories based on astrology so they created monster stories instead of being literal. It’s cooler to read and for a kid to hear and take seriously.

sounds like u seen some VERRRRRYYYYY crappy workers in your years! im new to this only been doing it a few months with no former education or training, im thankful there are alota old timers at my job who teach the correct way to do things!.. ive never seen the crazy things you talk about seeing installing a square crops, tacking L brackets to the bulkhead ect and i did firewatch my first month so i watched alot of ppl work!

Does your Brad nailer make an odd noise only when it is turned on the left side. Meaning the body of the nailer on the left is facing the floor. My brand new one works fine but that is the only position that it makes this particular noise in almost like a metal wheel rubbing against something at the end of the cycle

Trust me they don't screen ppl... I typically work in the shipyard as an electrician. Today my recruiter called me and asked me if I wanted to be a shipfitter so I took it since pay was decent. The only fitting I ever did was building water towers or stainless tanks for breweries.. luckily I'll be a helper for a few months at first.

Any updates on your theory its hard to find intelligent ppl to discuss this topic with!

I just got this set to replace all of my Bauer tools (Harbor Freight). A little bump up I believe. The charger seems a little cheap. You'd think if they're sending 2 batteries they'd send you a way to charge them at the same time. Ditto on the light and probably the USB thing too. I've never had one but, with only 2 batteries, using it seems to be unnecessary. It's just one of those fillers so they can say 6-tool combo instead of the more appropriate 5-tool. Thanks for your review. It's good to know they will at least last 4 years. Now, to sell all of the Bauer crap...

Btw if you buy into porter cable they have a better charger and 4.0 ah batteries now tractor supply has a partnership with them they sell the charger for $39.00 on there website. Go check for yourself I use Ridgid skill and not the newer stuff from Chevron but when bosch owned them corded i do have a skill circular saw 13 amp had it years serves as purpose has paid for itself dozen times over same with the rest of my tools
